| Introduction | Who are we? A happily married couple, living in the heart of Winnipeg, in a big old house. We love our home, our yard, our location and we love each other. And we love God. We have 6 married children and 16 grandchildren. Way back we were both teaching in a remote northern community and that is when we decided to get married. We knew God was calling us into ministry. That has included more teaching, Christian camping, establishing a Mennonite Brethren congregation in the north, denominational missions leadership and pastoring several churches. In the last few years we have had significant involvement with Wycliffe Bible Translators. For 32 years we have been active in freedom ministry. We teach a variety of workshops, lead small groups and write resource materials. We have prepared a curriculum to help parents to teach their children a biblical worldview. We regularly have the privilege of meeting with people for prayer ministry. |
| Interests | We love team teaching and caring for people with spiritual needs. We enjoy outdoor campfire cooking and eating meals outside from early spring to late fall. When holidaying at a friend's cottage at Arnes, we enjoyed sailing and canoeing. |
| Favorite movies | We may average one movie a year! We choose ones that touch the heart and show courage. Have you seen "Akeelah and the Bee?" That's the kind we gravitate to. |
| Favorite music | We enjoy a variety or musical genres. For church music we appreciate music with organ and choir and hearty congregational hymn singing. |
| Favorite books | The Bible. Many other books help us serve those who come for prayer - particularly with life controlling issues. We also are encouraged and challenged as we read missionary biographies. We have read about 10 of these amazing missionary stories with our grandchildren at the annual "cousin camp." |
