| Introduction | I organized and was the founding president of a branch of the NAACP in 1971. I integrated the town of Amite, Louisiana in 1971. I enlisted in the U. S. as an original Yorktown Cohort in 1981. I attended and graduated from Officer Candidate School in 1982. I created The Black History Calendar in 1985 and wrote the poem "I Can" that renamed Black people African American. I published "YOU MIGHT BE A NIGGER!" in 1998. |
