GenderMale
OccupationStudent Chef

IntroductionHaving always had an interest in cooking and eating great food, at the age of 27 I have decided to send myself to Tante Marie Culinary School (UK) to complete an Intensive Cordon Bleu Dipolma. I decided shortly after completing a Business degree that the 9-5 grind was not for me and embarked on a number of jobs including working on multimillion Euro yachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas, selling Satellite TV door to door in Perth, Australia and running a chalet in the Alpine resort of Val d'Isere. I have now decided that a career behind the pots and pans is what I want and am embarking on a 6 month intensive Culinary Diploma from Tante Marie, Woking (UK).
InterestsObviously I enjoy all aspects of the culinary world.. eating, cooking, reading cook books and blogs etc. I also love to Snowboard and have completed a season in the French Alpine resort of Val d'Isere. Scuba diving is one of my favourite ways to get away from everything for an hour or two and I have completed the PADI Advanced Diver course whilst in Exmouth, Australia a couple of years ago. Oh and finally... I am a biog Tottenham fan! someone has to be!!!
Favorite booksMy current favourite cook books are: The French Laundry - over ten yrs old now and still feels fresh whenever I open it. Roast Chicken and other stories - a joy to read and even more so to taste some of the dishes. White Heat - though it now looks quite dated, it was the book I read about a year ago that made me think that I should be a chef.. a proper one! :D 3 Star Chef - Not as visually stunning as TFL above, but a great insight into an iconic chef and his flagship restaurant.

When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?

No I most certainly did not! I collected them and made a beautiful Mango and Rose water Sorbet out of them obviously! ;)
