| Introduction | I was born in 1944 in southern Wisconsin. The oldest of five children by seven years, I enjoyed caring for my siblings. We moved to Minnesota where I completed my education. To seek job opportunities, I moved to Madison, WI. I met my husband and we were married in 1967. We built a new home on a beautiful dairy farm on the Arlington prairie accross from his parents third generation home. Our daughter, Angela was born four years later and after another four years our son Adam was born. My 48th birthday trip to an Inn in York Harbor, Main sparked my interest in B & B's. With my love of old movies and music of the 50's, the family home became a perfect setting to bring it all together. The renovation of the home and holding down a full-time research possition was a pleasant challenge. Now that I am retired I can fully appreciate all the "treasures" that I have found in the last three years to furnish and complete my dream. |
