When she isn't blogging, she is doing research for her dissertation, entitled Autism Spectrum Disorder Policymaking in New Mexico: An Ethnographic Case Study. She expects to graduate in May of 2017. She is the mother of a daughter and a son, and was adopted as a ranch mama to another adult daughter. She takes great pride in their independence and successes, and is entirely smitten with her granddaughter, Charlotte, and her two grandsons, Roman and Zachary.
