Introduction I am looking to determine the level of inerest among Catholic men in a new form of committed community life. It would be a form of community that is especially relevant to our time and the situation of our towns and cities as they lose their sense of God. The community would draw inspiration from the Carmelite Rule of St Albert and the life and writings of St Teresa. The community would be characterised by a radical committment to prayer at the same time as deep engagement in the life of the city. There would be a focus on living simply in solidarity with the poor. Community involves a degree of structure but this would be based on common sense. Friendship with Jesus and with one another would characterise the community but there would be no "showiness" such as old fashioned habits (some visible signs might be appropriate). Please get in touch, make comments, ask questions, pray about it and together we can see what such a community might look like and whether God wants it to happen.
