Introduction	Hi! my name is David Perez. I am originally from the Canary Islands, Spain. I have tried a lot of sports; from water polo and soccer to track and field, but there is this one sport that has been with me since I was seven. Sailing for me is a way of life, it helps you develop professionally, but more important as a person. It has been with me everywhere I have been. It helped me integrate into England and the United States, two completely different societies from Spain. Halfway through high school, I did a 4-month experience living and studying in the UK. After that experience, I had to move to the US in 2015 to finish my high school career. It was a tough experience, but it shaped me into the person that I am now. I am currently doing a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering at Jacksonville University, where I am also in the sailing team. My goal is to keep pushing through the American system of education and get a degree in what I like. I would also like to keep getting experience through Internships as I have been doing in the past three summers.
