| Introduction | The United States recently experienced the collapse of Wall Street, the mortgage meltdown, and the credit crisis. We witnessed the whole country spiral into a recession. As our policy makers, world leaders and multi-national corporations continue to pick up the pieces from this economic disaster, young adults in this country are fighting through an economic depression, where 20% of young adults in the United States are currently unemployed. Studies show that young people with prolonged unemployment achieve lower lifetime incomes. Unfortunately, there are few signs the trend is reversing.To make sure we prevent future generations from social and economic disasters, GenerationDrive’s mission is to develop a new generation that promotes an American culture of economic self-reliance and universal success. |
