| Introduction | Hello everyone; Welcome to Seraphim's World of Whimsy (WOW) blog and website! I have the best job in the world, I am an award winning artist bear designer. I have a strong foundation of tradition as my grandmother use to make bears in the factories of England prior to WW2. Now I am following in her footsteps, still using a number of her tools to create heirloom quality bears from mohair, alpaca and occasionally viscose. My bears are double seamed and sewn on a vintage 1930s Singer Featherweight machine. My miniature bears are all sewn by hand, one teeny stitch at a time. My focus is 70% traditional style bears and 30% is dedicated to more contemporary style bears. I hope you enjoy your visit to Seraphim Bears! |
