| Introduction | Jonathan and I started trying to conceive in June of 2009. We sought the help of a specialist in August of 2010. After five rounds of failed IUIs and some not so great test results, we moved on to IVF treatments. We were fortunate enough to have our first IVF cycle work, and our precious baby boy was born on April 1, 2012! We did a second IVF cycle in November of 2013 and are fortunate to be expecting a baby girl in August 2014!
I started this blog to keep friends and family informed of what we are going through as well as a way to document this part of our journey to parenthood. I have always been confident that we would someday be parents... be it through IVF or adoption... and when that day comes and I am delirious from lack of sleep, tired of changing poopy diapers, or just fed up because our kids won't eat what I made for dinner, I will be able to look back on this and remember the struggle, and recall just how desperately I begged God to make me a mommy. Everyday holds the possibility of a miracle... and it's amazing to hold ours in our arms! |
