| Introduction | I am a middle aged family doc with nearly 30 years of experience doing inpatient and outpatient medicine in small town Minnesota. In addition, for almost 20 years, I have taught an obstetrical emergency called ALSO, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, locally and internationally. Since December 1997, I have also done short term volunteer general medicine, and especially obstetrical support, at mission and non-profit hospitals in underserved international areas. I have taught ALSO formally in Nepal, and Qatar and Guatemala and served 2 Lutheran mission hospitals in Bangladesh and a community hospital in rural Guatemala. I will be working again at Hospitalito Atitlan in Guatemala in January 2010. |
