| Favorite movies | Too many of the old classics to mention here, but my fave B&W films include Nosferatu (1922). Plus, a smattering of contemporaries: Chocolat, Amelie, The City of Lost Children, Delicatessen, Micmacs, Orlando, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, Mary and Max, Requiem for a Dream. Films made by: Guillermo del Toro, David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino, the Coen brothers, Hayao Miyazaki, Monty Python... I could go on. Why just films? Why not TV shows? Like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, True Detective, American Horror Story, Hannibal, Justified, Band of Brothers, Dexter - but only up to the end of S4 that is - what a crap ending to the whole series. |
| Favorite music | An eclectic range that changes depending on the mood I'm in. My son is a jazz drummer, so I'm biased there. And, I do have a girl crush on Erykah Badu :) |
| Favorite books | To name just a few: Walden by Thoreau, works of Poe, HP Lovecraft, Dickens, Conan Doyle and Shakespeare. Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre. Folk Tales of the World, Valli Myers a memoir, Vita's Other World, The China Study, Modern Herbal. And, dozens of reference books - too many really :) |
