| Introduction | I'm still learning about myself to be honest, and this journey is quite amazing. I am a walking contradiction, walking into whatever self actualization looks like for me. We will see. I have wisdom, I have insights, and I know that the Universe is within me. I am grateful. I am thankful. At my core, I am happy. Each day is an opportunity to expand in some way. I do not always hit the mark, but the mark is within me. It is my intent to choose it. I love what I contribute in life, and when I hit the lottery, or sign a writing contract, whichever comes first, I'm going to do what I currently do just on a larger scale. I desire to live a long healthy life, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose healthy. I have great friends, and my connections mean a lot to me. |
| Interests | My interests are varied, yet all connect to one running theme in my life, a theme of great meaning and truth: Spirit. I am interested in spiritual expansion and living a life that is full, authentic--meaning being my honest self, and truth--meaning that which leads me to the expansion that is within. I am interested in the complexities of identity, sexuality, and parenting. I am interested in revealing life patterns and working through bringing closure to them. I am interested in what love really is and how I choose to give meaning to it. I am interested in the very nature of my mind, my actions, and my thoughts. Who am I? I am interesting in discovering the answer to that question. I am interested in life, in universal law, and non-attachment. I am interested in Buddha. There was a time when I was interested in Christ. I think they were both amazing. I am interested in being better. |
| Favorite movies | Wow, where to begin? Seven Pounds (it changed my life!), If These Walls Could Talk, Love Jones, Women of Brewster's Place, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Orphan,AVATAR!!! and many, many more. It's interesting how we forget in moments like these. I go to the movies weekly, and yet my brain has frozen in this moment. |
| Favorite music | A unique variety from down-tempo/chill to soulful R&B. |
| Favorite books | Awakening the Buddha Within, If the Buddha Dated, Love, Freedom, Aloneness: The Koan of Relationships, How to Change Your Life, Mind and Success, Get a Freelance Life, The Last Lecture, Dreaming Me, The Art of Happiness, The Last Goodnights, Best Buddhist Writings 2008, and many, many more! |
