Introduction	A few months ago I came to a realization: I love baking cupcakes more than I love doing anything else. Indulgent? Yes. Cliche? Absolutely. But I don't care. The heart wants what it wants, and so I packed up my things and moved from L.A. to New York to attend the Natural Gourmet Culinary Institute: a plant-based school that teaches vegan and nonvegan pastry for everyday flexi-pesce-vegan culinary students like myself (dietary schizophrenia is on the rise, did you hear?). So far my self-appointed ambassadorship has been going well, though it's not been without its awkward moments (I was never one for slapstick, but the NYC subway system begs to convince me I've got a talent for it). The point of this blog is to share such moments, as well as the high and low points of my culinary escapades, and a few completely irrelevant rants and musings in between. And yes, I do have a cupcake tattoo.
