| Introduction | I am from Canada but I am now living in the UK for my PhD studies, which focus on the anthropology of religion. In academic lingo I am an "ABD" ("All But Dissertation") which gives me a moderate-but-not-significant amount of street cred in the Ivory Tower of academia. This blog is about anything and everything BUT my dissertation; and it is my attempt to stay sane in the midst of being immersed in the dissertation-focused academy. It will include things like my experiments with making natural cosmetics, some cooking/baking recipes, tales of various adventures, as well as the odd philosophical pondering about what makes our lives meaningful. |
