| Introduction | My name is Nicola Lucy Schrire and I'm a singer (specialising in jazz). I also happen to adore food and eating. So, I've decided to combine my two loves and create a blog chronicling some of my adventures (and mishaps) in both spheres. I was born in London (which might explain my penchant for tea), was raised in Cape Town (which definitely explains the obsession with Mrs Balls Chutney and my disdain for American beef jerkey-nothing competes with biltong I'm afraid), and now live in New York (which has fuelled my passion for ice cream, brown rice sushi, and Fage yogurt). I am currently acquiring my Masters Degree in Jazz Performance at the Manhattan School of Music. So when I'm not procrastinating on Face Book, I'll be blogging on this site. Life's all about balance. Hopefully my international slant will make this blog interesting and exciting. If it turns out to be dead-boring and generic, at least my mum will still be an ardent reader, supporter and fan. |
