IntroductionI was born in the former Soviet Union shortly before its fall. My family moved to the US while my father was in the US as a visiting fellow at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. I grew up in Nashville and went to Vanderbilt for undergrad where I met Tim, my comrade in arms for this, and many adventures (homebrewing blog may yet be forthcoming.) Tim and I both majored in Molecular Cell Biology at Vanderbilt. After graduation we took time off and lived with some other friends in Nashville while working in research labs at Vanderbilt. We will both be attending graduate school in the Fall of 2009, I at University of Oregon, and Tim at University of California Davis. As one can imagine, a two and a half month bicycling trip is not something you can just do anytime you want, so having this time before graduate school is a key motivating factor in going on this trip. This blog has remained dormant for a while, but I'm hoping for a new trip soon.
InterestsBicycling (no shit), home-brewing, politics, Israel,
Favorite musicHip Hop, Blues, Funk, Folk, some soul, plenty of bluegrass (especially while biking), and a healthy amount of good old fashioned rock and roll.
