Introduction I started scholars.com and sold it to SkillSoft (i.e CBT Systems/SmartForce) the world's largest eLearning company in 1998, worked for them as VP of Special Projects and Customer Advocacy, left them in late 2002 and started a new company focused on creating collective intelligence networks, Ensemble Collaboration, which was sold to Global Mentoring. In January of 2006 I joined Thomson NETg to run their live learning web services strategic business unit including live online classes always led by two instructors (from the acquisition of KnowledgeNet in 2004) and a 24x7 online mentoring service to support our library of self-paced courses. In November SkillSoft announced the acquisition of Thomson NETg for $285M so deja vu.
