| Introduction | Dr. Bader Almutairi is an Associate Research Scientist at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). He received his master’s and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T). He worked as a summer fellow at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), USA, a summer MeV fellow at the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), USA, and a nonproliferation summer fellow at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea. He is also currently a Visiting Researcher at the Rhode Island Nuclear Science Center, USA. He has theoretical and practical experience in radiation detection using Geiger Mueller detectors, as well as in operating a nuclear research reactor at the Rhode Island Nuclear Science (RINSC) facility. |
