| Introduction | Nice to meet you. I am a writer, a poet, and a publishing professional. I help aspiring authors (traditional and self-published) write, publish, and promote their book the right way to give them the best chance at widespread success. With twelve years of experience in the publishing industry (events, promotion, editing, consulting, publishing, and have even dabbled in design) I have worked with hundreds of authors and some of the largest and smallest self-publishing imprints and the largest trade publisher in the world, and even self-published my own work in a variety of media, gaining regional notoriety as the Whiskey Poet. With this experience I have learned the right, and the wrong, things to do in publishing and marketing a book in a variety of genres. I am happy to pass along my expertise to you for free on this blog.
