| Introduction | My great grandmother's parents came to this country from Finland and settled in Upper Michigan. Growing up, we spent every summer in Upper Michigan with family. As a result, I grew up eating a lot of foods that most of my friends had never heard of or tried. My mom is still a great cook and made almost everything from scratch and made a lot of the foods that were part of her childhood. I am so passionate about the food that I grew up on and that I cook to this day that I decided to share my recipes and my experiences with the world. |
