Introduction Artistic Director for Ragazzi Artistic Lounge, producer, director, actor, writer, Housing Program Manager at Bienestar, mother, wife, aunt, daughter.......... Is originally from San Diego, CA. Moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career and has continued working in theater, TV and film as an actress, director, writer and producer.
Interests Some of her stage acting credits include Viviana, in The Name of God, Muñeca in Safari, and Malinche in Malinche at the Frida Kahlo Theater. She has directed both film and theater. Her film “Juan the Brave” continues to circulate the independent film realm and was a favorite at this years Translations Film Festival in Seattle Washington. She is Co Producer of One Giant Ovary Productions. Along with her producing partner Natalie Marie Estrada they have not only produced independent films but also stage productions and benefit events. At this time they are in pre-production with a number of projects amongst them are the short “ Maya Sol” written by Fanny Garcia and the feature film “ Elemental Beings” written by Turner Nguyen. Her film” Revealción/Disclosure” a film dealing with HIV and disclosure in the transgender community, has started to circulating around LA. It has screened at Bienestar Human Services and at CASA 0101 at BHLIFE on December 10th. Jacqueline also collaborates with other production companies she is in post –production with “ Primera ves en tres años” a film directed by Adalberto Lujan. And is currently writing a border issue film for Zula Productions. Additionally, her passion involves traveling and learning new languages Internationally; She has toured the Republic of China with Our Town and to the Fringe Festival in Scotland with Rancho Hollywood under the direction of Bill Korf.
Favorite Movies When Jacqueline is not teaching acting or yoga at Ragazzi, on a stage or on set you can find her at Bienestar Human Services a non-profit organization where she advocates for those living with HIV/AIDS and where she finds those beautiful stories that every single individual brings to her and later she puts on screen or stage. Performing is Jacqueline’s passion. It’s more than a career. “When you get bitten by that bug it stays in your body, it runs trough you veins and blends with your blood and it penetrates to your soul.” On her time off she loves nothing more than to hang out with her family. Listening to her husbands music, admiring Fabrizio's drawings, shoping with her mom or indulging in her guilty pleasure going to her beloved Tijuana to dance salsa drink a michelada and eating her favorite food. Favorite Music Along with her husband and business partner she has traveled trough out la bella Italia in search of ideas on creating Ragazzi Artistic Lounge and bring a little of that culture and Country she holds dearly in her heart to piccolo Whittier.
