| Introduction | I'm a thirty one year old stay at home mother of two little girls. I love my family. My girls are my greatest accomplishment. Life is crazy with a 2 year old and 5 month old, but I would not trade anything for the life I have. I don't know it all. I believe that religion is not about rules, legalism, judgment or tradition. It’s about Jesus. The unconditional love he has for us is something I never grasped until the birth of my first daughter. Before I had children I swore to be the perfect mother: my daughter would never wear pigtails, throw a tantrum in public, sit in a shopping cart without a cover, eat baby food that I didn’t make myself, eat strawberries that weren’t organic, be bribed with candy for potty training, or eat JIF peanut butter. (She’s since done it all). I need my B.O.B. stroller, my iPhone, a soy chai latte, and an hour alone everyday to keep my sanity and make me a nice Mom. I eat organic, am a pescetarian, love my dog, require an SUV, listen to country music, am conservative, promote midwife births, get tearful during patriotic songs, sing off key, must workout, always order dessert, breastfeed, and believe wine makes everything better. |
