Introduction I grew up in India and have spent over a decade in the UK, enjoying best of both the Worlds. For a while I felt I was at home nowhere (i.e. neither in India nor in UK) however, over the last few years I have realised that I feel at home where there is no place for prejudices whether it be race, colour, class, caste or religion related; and there is a respect for people; appreciation for simplicity & talent regardless of ones background. Whilst my feet are strongly rooted to my own culture, colourful traditions and festivals, I love learning about different cultures and traditions as I believe diversity is the spice of life. I also enjoy travelling as I feel there are some real treasures in this world to be discovered. I hope to discover few of these treasures during this lifetime. I find inspiration in ordinary people who live extraordinary lives, people who are passionate about something in their life whether it is music, a hobby or a cause they support. Finally I share two of my favourite quotes by Mahatma Gandhi: * You must be the change you want to see in the world! * Happiness is when, what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. Interests Many to name a few Travel and Photography...
Favorite Movies Any meaningful movie. I am very selective of what movies I watch so either it has to be comedy, animation or have real substance to the story line.
Favorite Music Without music my world would be colourless...
Favorite Books To list few: - My all time favourite book "The Art of Happiness" by Dalai Lama. This book talks about simple things in life that makes a big difference yet people forget these on day to day basis. - Ignited minds by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, a powerful and inspiring book that in my view every Indian should read! - Various writings of Yasmin Alibhai Brown and Arundhati Roy. There is a fire and a sense of truth in their writings, which not only i admire, I find it inspirational too.
