Introduction | Why did you start your business? I have a passion for creating artistic creations. Burt Designs was created in 1998 as a graphic and web design freelance business. It has expanded to include wedding and family (including maternity, newborn, children and teens) photography. So, in 2002, Burt Designs began creating personalized, heirloom portraits for families and weddings. I have enjoyed watching families grow! What makes you different than other similar businesses in your community? Not only do I have a degree in Printing Production and Imaging Technology, I am also a wife and mother to three little ones. My training prepared me for the technical aspect and my personal life keeps me on my toes when it comes to creativity. Life is unpredictable and capturing unique and soulful portrait takes time and skill. My portraits (both family and weddings) evoke emotion. I enjoy every aspect of being a photographer and am blessed to offer my services to my clients. These few points set me apart from my competition. |

Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?
Flexibility is so important especially when I am dealing with children. I spend everyday with my kids homeschooling, so I have to be flexible knowing that my plans ARE going to change.
