| Introduction | I started this blog with the goal of engaging in the practice of writing every day as an end in itself and let it take me where it may in terms of topics. Then the republican candidates for president were announced, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars dragged on, Obama turned into a flustered and sackless shadow of the president I voted for and I suddenly found myself pissed off and writing mostly about politics, large and small. And that is still what this blog is about; high voltage political satire that is serious but aims to make you laugh. As someone once said, much truth is revealed in jokes. The correlary is, the only people telling the truth these days are comedians. My hope is this blog speaks the truth, maybe pisses you off but mostly makes you laugh. Full disclosure; I am a little easier on the lefties than the right; just how I'm wired. You don't like it, go watch Faux News...But never fear; we flog both donkeys and elephants here - you'll see. |
