| Introduction | I am Irish American, the daughter of a career Air Force physician and a feisty Texas Panhandle princess and DAR member.I trace my American ancestors back to pre-revolutionary war days. Three of my uncles fought in WWII. I am 54 years old, and I grew up in San Antonio,where my best friend was Jewish. I have worked with Catholic Nuns, and was once a Jesus Freak in the 1970s.Today I am a curious skeptic.I vote independently.I put myself through college singing in bars (no joke) and I have a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Journalism.I have a lot of experience in public relations and advertising and I have always tried to make those skills available to non-profit organizations that serve the greater good. I am the proud wife of a career Parks and Wildlife site manager and the mother of two very fine young men. The younger is a college sophomore and works part time, ,and plans to teach English. The older is a new graduate of the US Miilitary Academy at West Point. I am The Angry White Mom because i believe it is time for another voice to be heard regarding the issues that face our nation. |
