Introduction	"She’s My Sister" is an American Bible Society signature initiative responding to vicious acts of war that have left women broken and children orphaned in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Centered on a proven program of Scripture-based trauma healing, it connects local impact and international advocacy to help women start their lives anew and birth a restored society from the ashes of national trauma. The money raised through this bike ride will help local leaders provide scripture-based counseling programs in local languages for victims of war crimes and will help meet immediate needs. Through this initiative, The American Bible Society aims to help people traumatized by war, violence, natural disaster or other losses, experience healing from their heart wounds and be able to participate fully in their societies.
