| Introduction | Food! Yes! I love it! I have found a passion in creating food that not only tastes good, but is, most of the time (come on who doesn't need something jam packed of buttery, sugary, goodness?), is good for you. I am in a place now where food is my friend, not my enemy (of course I think of Finding Nemo). For a long time I battled with food, at times hating it and hating myself for not feeling like I was in control. I could diet with the best of them, but I loathed the fact that once I was done with said diet, I would binge and revert right back to my previous way of consuming all non breathing thing in my path. With the birth of my daughter I found myself not wanting to pass on this unhealthy battle with food and body image. I saw this perfect little being that, while I cannot protect her from all the outside influences of how or what we should be like, I can be an example of healthy lifestyle and body image. My husband played a huge role in helping me to see that it had to end with me, and for that I will be eternally grateful. |
