| Introduction | I am a native Oregonian, born and raised. Springfield High School Class of '70. Worked in a sawmill right out of high school. Served a 4 year carpentry apprenticeship to achieve Journeyman Carpenter Certification. 15 years in construction. Currently in Building Code Administration. My faith and belief in God is the basis on which my life is grounded. Married my high school sweetheart 30+ years ago and am hopelessly, head over heels in love to this day. We raised two great sons who married wonderful women and are busy with their families and lives. I love the Pacific NW and specifically Oregon. I cherish it for it's vast, unique, diverse beauty and might. My wife Chris and I live in the heart of a beautiful coastal valley alongside a 1/4 mile stretch of the Alsea River. I am a fisherman. It provides therapy for my soul and time to reflect. I delight in my children and grandchildren and cherish our family events. My parents live on a piece of property immediately next door to us. They are the best neighbors a guy could ask for. We are a tight group and happy to have each other. |
