| Introduction | Welcome! This is a journal of my experiences as an intern in Limuru, Kenya. The internship is focused on environmental stewardship and governance. I will be partnering with the Care of Creation organization. (check out link) The work will involve following up on conferences hosted by the organization. At the last conference the 600+ participants made commitments to environmental action. My internship will focus on identifying and supporting these post-conference policies. It will include documenting the status of environmental initiatives among participants, following up specific initiatives and communicating this to a number of different stakeholders. This internship is made possible with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). |
