| Introduction | The Blog will be an enticing mixture of old sermons, occasional recipes and favourite quotations. The sermons may have been tidied up a bit, but are basically scripts i.e. written to be spoken. The best bits are written by someone else:- Rowan Williams, Denise Levertov, Kathleen Norris, Tom Wright..... The title comes from Ralph Waldo Emerson 'A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.' I frequently used it to my children when they used what I had said yesterday to undermine what I was saying today. It cut remarkably little ice with them, but I have always been fond of it. |
