About me

Location Canada
Introduction I began practicing the Japanese art of origami in February of 2004 when I purchased my first book Origami Boxes by Tomoko Fuse. This led me to join the Folding Trees Group on flickr.com in September of 2008, an image-hosting website and community platform for paper crafting. In October 2008, I started publishing the Handmade by Deb blog, an origami website. Staff at my neighborhood public library saw my origami blog, and in May of 2009, I led my first origami workshop. My paper folding has been seen on foldingtrees.com, the best tutorial and paper creations online and headlined dollarstorecrafts.com, a daily crafting blog with an emphasis on projects that are cheap, chic, and easy to do. Since those early days of 2004, I've perused hundreds of origami books and folded thousands of models.
