| Introduction | I am an urban creature who also loves nature and the country. I work as a civil engineer on a variety of infrastructure projects, from roads to new transit lines to utility systems. Politically, I call my philosophy as a new libertarian socialism, as I am not bound to the old ideas of libertarian socialism. Rather, I believe in a pragmatic blend of personal freedom with a care for the welfare of all, routed in my Christian faith. I believe in tolerance of all ideas, and enjoy knowing people whose ideas are different than mine. I've always been an individualist, as I always had a hard time "fitting in" and in many ways, I'm simply quite different. But I believe that each person's God-given beauty lies in their uniqueness. I believe we should come to know our uniqueness and come to accept ourselves. Through this acceptance, we can accept others, especially those who are different and those who many not think well of us. |
