Introduction	I am an almost-40-something professional peregrine, originally from the Midwestern United States. In this phase of my self-reinvention, I am transitioning into the hospitality management industry by means of a 2-year diploma program at Vancouver Island University. I am also angling to stay in Canada permanently, for a host of personal, social, political and other reasons. I hope this blog will help capture some of my (mis)adventures along the way.
