| Introduction | I'm a student who recently became interested in the 'slow' movement and the rediscovery of traditional skills such as sewing, crochet, baking,cooking from scratch and gardening. I feel strongly that the current world we live in needs to change and I am trying to do my little bit to participate less and less in our consumerist society. I am accustomed to a very fast pace of life and hope that by spending time developing these skills that I may be able to start feeling connected again with the people close to me and the things in my life such as food and clothing.
