Introduction	I have been knitting since December 2011. When I first started I had a thirst for knowledge so voracious you'd swear I had spent years basking in the knitting desert. My journey started at a beginner's class at my local yarn store. They taught the long tail cast on, knit, purl and bind off. Then they gave us a very simple project, but it was very empowering - I did it! From there, I couldn't learn enough and I learned that YouTube was my friend. :) One of the beautiful things about this craft is that you can continue to learn new things as long as you want. You will NEVER know it all because there are people out there constantly improving upon existing techniques and developing new techniques that make things easier or create a new look, etc. For this reason, knitting is a craft that will be a lifelong endeavor for me. This is only 1 of the many reasons why I love knitting. What are the reasons you love it?
