| Introduction | I am a registered dietitian who enjoys eating, cooking, and serving delicious food. I choose market fresh and seasonal as much as possible. I, too, have struggled with my weight. I strive each day to get and stay fit! When I see obese people, I want to help them. My wish is for them to feel/look better. This is what I do -- I help them. I feel a call to help obese and overweight people. I have worked several years as a pediatric dietitian, treating the full spectrum of nutritional needs in the pediatric population from failure-to-thrive to super-obesity and everything inbetween. I loved working with the kids/teens who needed to lose weight. I've been there! The humiliation and suffering, and, even setbacks that I experienced from growing up obese, inspired me to study dietetics and to work in this field, sharing the wealth of knowledge and understanding of this frustrating condition with others. My goal has always been to help effectively treat,and/or, better, PREVENT obesity. Obesity is a condition that can consume a person's whole life and spirit. I'm up to serve in whatever ways I can, those who seek to lose weight and get and stay fit! |
