IntroductionMy life is complicated. It has taken many twists and turns, so that I presently find myself teaching math. In the past, I have made my living as a researcher, an artist, a baker, a fieldworker, etc. I've been through cancer treatments, the failure of my art business, and the death of my husband. Through it all, I have always fallen back to my cats for emotional comfort and to mathematics for mental exercise. I blog about what is important to me as a way to sort out my ideas and get my life running smoothly. So, don't be shocked if I blog one day about my cats and the next day about transfinite numbers.

Foxes are clever and tigers are cunning. So, what's your cat's safety school?

Depends totally on which cat. For example, Clarissa's school is "Yah, I'm a tortie, you'll get over it." Isabel's is "I can ignore it." And Spencer's is "Can I eat it?"
