Introduction	I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Broadcast Media degree in 2002. I minored in English and decided, after meeting my husband, Max, in an English class, that my path was going to change a bit. I decided to become a teacher soon after getting married and received my certification in Language Arts 8-12 and Journalism 6-12. I started teaching in Poteet, Texas in 2004. I received my Master of Education degree in May 2011, and I am so excited to use what I learned during my graduate coursework. I have one daughter, Ella, who is four years old and a dog named Gus. I can't forget to mention Lucy, my loving Calico cat. I love teaching and bringing new and important viewpoints to my students daily.
