| Introduction | Sandra Zegarra Patow is graduated student as a designer and photographer at the Grafisch lyceum in Rotterdam. Currently she is studying at the Academy of royal Art in the Hague. Artist Statement We live in a time where an image is one of the most important forms of communication. Because of the development of the digital world and the rise of social media, the importance of written word has almost become marginalized. But just like a language, an image can also be interpreted as a symbolic meaning of reality. This way word and image come together, and it’s up to the person who produces these images in our state of image culture to keep on giving meanings to these images. i want to create a world of my own, every image has an own life and this comes from the emotions that i want to share, everything has an emotion and so does my photography. |
