Introduction	Hey everyone! My name is Hilary Roughton and I have officially committed to walking in the 2012 AVON Walk for Breast Cancer in Charlotte, NC. I originally came up with the idea of participating in this walk solely as a topic for my Honors College thesis (which I will be slaving over for the next year). However, as I began to talk with my friends and family I quickly gained more interest in what this walk is truly about. I did some research on the AVON website and as soon as I came across the motivational videos, I was hooked. Not only could I not control my tears, but I knew that I could certainly get my lazy rump off of the couch and on the pavement to walk 39.3 miles. I am a healthy and active 20 year old female and if there are women who have not only overcome, but some that are still fighting cancer that do this walk EVERY year, than so can I.
