| Introduction | From the mean streets of Owensboro, Kentucky, Darin Shock has always found the strength to focus on his two passions: art, music, movies, and sports. His focus on art, however, allowed him to resist the temptations of Nascar, double negatives, and Larry the Cable Guy quotes that took down so many of his southern companions. In high school he was voted Most Likely to Attend More Schoolin’, so Shock enrolled at Murray State University where he graduated with a 6.4 gpa and was voted "Mofo of the Year" twonce. Upon graduation, Shock embarked on a career in design and illustration and moved to the progressive area of Greater Cincinnati and started State of Shock Studios and apparently lost all knowledge of what constitutes as a run-on sentence. Determined to be the greatest artist ever to emerge from Kentucky who doesn’t paint horses and has a verb for a last name, Darin Shock will continue his quest to change the world...via pencil, paper, and Macintosh. He told me so. |
