Favorite Movies Michael Clayton is one of the most satisfying films I've seen. Motorcycle Diaries grabbed me slowly, but I could not stand up for awhile when the film ended the effect was so complete and visceral. The B&W ending and the soundtrack were part of that sensation. Pride and Prejudice for Joe Wright's directing and the impeccable acting. The End of Violence by Wim Wenders. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly by Julian Schnabel gave me hope and was an enormously touching film that embraced the beauty of the imagination. In America by Jim Sheridan for the cinematic quality. The Lives of Others for the meticulous building of subtle, yet powerful impact. Earth not at all what you think the title reflects. Before the Rain for addressing the vicious cycle of violence in Words, Faces and Pictures. Butterfly. Many many more.
Favorite Music All kinds. Enjoy hearing live music in Austin. Like being exposed to new sounds. Who always comes to mind: Van Morrison. Currently listening to: Joshua Redman. Motherland by Natalie Merchant is a great CD.
