| Introduction | I'm from a tiny town in California that no one has ever heard of (if I have to say 'between Sacramento and Tahoe' one more time I will roundhouse kick someone). I started trying to be cool in about 4th grade, pretending I knew all about Nirvana. I let the poser phase go somewhere around 8th grade and fell comfortably into the drama room counterculture. Our national pasttimes included: watching Eddie Izzard until we had it all memorized, watching Moulin Rouge until we had it all memorized, writing, acting and getting kicked out of Denny's. I have since matured beyond belief, graduated from college and have a full-time job that has absolutely nothing to do with my major. Now that I have taken a pause from my higher educational pursuits, I have time to read books (all the way through!) that I like, watch TV when I feel like it(don't judge lest I outsnob you), and even go to a few movies when I have eight bucks. Wait, no. Ten bucks. |
| Interests | All things pop and culture...ok, maybe not all. Definitely not. I'm interested in Jesus, thrift stores, gourmet sushi restuarants, and why Gwyneth Paltrow is such a bitch. |
| Favorite movies | When I'm sad: Moonstruck (don't you dare tell me Cher didn't deserve that Oscar!), When I'm happy: The Science of Sleep (I'm supergreat thanks!), When I hate my job: Saved, When I love someone: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, When I want to cry: (I never cry in movies) Out of Africa, When I want to laugh: Knocked Up |
| Favorite music | Jeff Buckley, The Ginger Ninjas, Regina Spektor, Tristan Prettyman, any girl who's a poet with guitar, Jack Johnson, Ben Folds Five, and yes I like Coldplay I think, except I just have to block out thoughts of Gwyneth Paltrow because if any of those songs are about her it ruins the whole thing for me. |
| Favorite books | Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Mother Night, East of Eden, Sex God, Blindness, The Beautifully Worthless(I know her!!), The Monkey Wrench Gang...I like books. |
That can't really be a fish you're standing on, can it?
It can really be. It can be a fish. But is it?
