Introduction	Norman Surplus is from Larne in N. Ireland. He is an accomplished autogyro pilot who has been active in many outdoor pursuits over the years. He is also an experienced crew member of a Royal National Lifeboat Institution rescue boat (similar to coastgurad recue) with responsibility for navigation and steering (coxswain). Norman is also the co-founder of clean energy technology company B9 Energy.
Interests	Mountaineering, climbing, skiing, cycling on the land surface and caving under it, canoeing, sailing, surfing on the water surface and scuba diving.
