| Introduction | I currently live in Northern California with my handsome husband. I mother my six children and volunteer for nonprofits and my community. Growing up I split time between the east San Francisco bay area and a small farming community in Northern Utah. Through my teenage years, I worked on a family dairy farm milking cows, driving tractors, moving sprinklers, performing rigorous manual labor, and assisting in mechanics. It has been many years since then, but last Thanksgiving when our family farm was hit with a devastating hay fire I became inspired to revisit these parts of my roots. I am a senior at USU agricultural school and have earned high marks for my writing and research papers. I am using these skills now to research spontaneous combustion hay fires and write about this phenomenon. |
