| Introduction | A Brooklyn girl living in CA: poeming, writing, blogging, loving my family and friends. We started this blog on September 2010, but we've been blogging since November 2008. The others, Musing by Moonlight and Brooklyn Memories Most Green, included recipes, which needed their own home, Brooklyn in Translation. We've translated inherited recipes and others to GF versions. Many are ethnic, since to grow up in Brooklyn is to be exposed to the peoples and foods of the world. We've updated some recipes to be healthier, freer of fats, carbs, chemicals. Occasionally, except for wheat-and-gluten, we've left recipes as they came to us either for flavor or nostalgia. In the years we've grappled with dietary adjustment, awareness of Celiac disease has grown. This blog is an acknowledgement that we're not the only one having to translate Brooklyn.
