| Introduction | We lost our first born son, Will, to SIDS when he was eight days old. This event impacted our lives more deeply than I realized. When I was pregnant with our son, Matthew, I counted on this baby to help me heal. Matt certainly has been a source of joy and sunshine in our lives and now with his younger brother in the mix, my days are non-stop. Along the way, I lost myself in my children. It was all about their needs, their passions and interests, what I could do to help them thrive. I finally understand that they're watching me. They see how I parent them but they also see how I treat myself, my husband, and the surrounding community. They see how my relationship with God plays out on a daily basis. I seek to balance life as a wife, mom, friend, sister, aunt, daughter, and woman. I want to think outside the box and be able to make the choices that God wants me to make. I want to live intentionally. My prayer is that this blog will help me and maybe encourage others along the way.
