| Introduction | I am a seeker of the unfettered soul, which I pursue through writing, blues, tango, and flamenco music; the practice of yoga; and the teachings of the Buddha. Having retired from a career in international management, I now work as an independent facilitator and instructor of leadership skills and multicultural communication, and have recently resumed my affair with the written word. I live with my husband in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where we share a home with our two Siberian cats, Vanya and Vasya; for a much-too-short a time with our Redbone Coonhound, Tico; and with the myriad local flora and fauna that come and go with the seasons. We named our domain with the Dutch word "De Heuvel", to reflect its hilltop location, from where we enjoy panoramic views of our lovely mountains. |
